Amiri is headed south of the border.
The Los Angeles-based designer brand has opened its first flagship in Latin America, in Mexico City.
The two-story, 2,863-square-foot store on Avenida Presidente Masaryk in Polanco, the most expensive shopping street in the city, is part of the company’s global expansion.
Designed by founder and creative director Mike Amiri, the store reflects the distinct design language of Amiri boutiques worldwide, while also nodding to the culture of the city through the use of locally sourced materials and furnishings.

The exterior facade is rendered in Santo Tomás marble, quarried in Mexico, which is also used on the interior as accents on display cases and columns. The marble is complemented by cream-colored travertine flooring, neutral, textural wallpaper and sheer drapes intended to be reminiscent of Old Hollywood and the draped curtains of midcentury movie houses that have long been at the center of Amiri’s inspiration.
Sculptural timber seating, leather lounge chairs, artisan-crafted tables and textured carpeting are also included in the space. Alongside these, the boutique showcases a selection of works by artists Stefano Di Cristofaro, Emiliano Massimini and Alex Slonimsky.
The Mexico City flagship offers ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories for both men and women.
Amiri now operates more than 30 stores globally. In the first half of 2026, the privately owned fashion house, with Italian fashion group OTB as a minority partner, posted a 10 percent sales increase, bringing its volume to around $300 million.
