\n\tTied to the 50th anniversary of Burton, the snowboard brand is launching an archive shop on Depop.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBurton is as synonymous with snowboarding as it is with winter style, making them a uniquely exciting partner for us,\u201d said Steve Dool, senior director of brand and creative at Depop. \u201cOpening up the Burton archive to the Depop community is a perfect way to embody our mission of making it as easy as possible to access sought-after, well-made pieces from the past that are just as relevant and appealing today as they\u2019ve ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNotable pieces within the shop include outerwear, apparel and accessories that focus on the history and evolution of snowboard style. As a nod to the five-decade milestone, 50 archive pieces will be available to shop for U.S. consumers.<\/p>\n

\n\tSpanning the late \u201970s, when the brand was founded, into the 2000s, the curated selection pulls from brands such as Burton, Analog, Ronin, Mark XIII and Idiom directly from Burton\u2019s archive.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf you\u2019ve ever wondered what snowboarders were actually wearing back in the day, this drop is your answer,\u201d said Todd Kohlman, resident archivist at Burton. \u201cThese are real pieces from our archive and each one tells you something about how snowboarding looked and felt at the time. Opening the archive with Depop gives a new generation the chance to connect with that history in their own way. These pieces are a part of our story and it\u2019s going to be awesome to see where this community takes them next.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnother drop to celebrate Burton\u2019s anniversary is slated to follow in mid-November. Content creation from leading voices within the fashion and snow sports space is supporting the drop, to connect the history of the clothing with today\u2019s generation styling archival pieces in new ways. This is also part of Depop\u2019s new \u201cBrand Shop Drop\u201d series rollout.<\/p>\n
